The London Softwood Club

Proudly celebrating 75 years - 1948 to 2023

Since its inception in 1948, The London Softwood Club has been proud to serve its members as the UK's foremost social organisation for the great and the good of the timber trade. Our 'home' for the past few years has been the Clermont Hotel next to Charing Cross Station. Lunches are held every March and October where we invite a prominent member of the industry to address our members on the issues of the day. The Christmas lunch in December is always a highlight involving an extra special guest speaker from the world of sport, politics or entertainment. If it's June, then it must be the LSC summer BBQ, held each year at the Doggett's Coat & Badge pub overlooking the Thames. Sunshine is always pre-ordered and occasionally makes an appearance!
The LSC is and always will be a strictly not-for-profit organisation. Accordingly, it is of immense pride that each year we give thousands of pounds away to a wide variety of good causes. Each member is actively encouraged to put forward a charity or organisation that they feel would benefit from our input.
If you are already a member, you know a warm welcome awaits you on each occasion. If you aren't, what are you waiting for! Please feel free to get in touch with Cindy at the e-mail address below, we look forward to hearing from you.
